While I was raising funds and awareness for Runnin’ At Midnite a common criticism I received was that I was trying to fill inner-city kids heads with unrealistic dreams and aspirations of being actors or filmmakers. Their thinking went something like this: these kids are trying to survive day-by-day, and here I come with all these ideas and opportunities and then “whoosh”, I’m gone, and the kids are left with their previous lives, which may or may not be more daunting than before. Libertad Promo Poster Has Arrived

Thanks for the design prowess of Mrs. Jeni Stewart, I’m proud to announce the final version of our Official Promotion Poster. This image for me really captures the essence of Libertad. In the center is a young boy coming off a mound of garbage, the pole he uses to sift through the waste slung over his shoulder. Behind him is a brilliant array of colors and illuminating bars. To my eye these two images together really serve to speak to the hope that prevails in Libertad even among the harshest enviornments.

How to stay current with Project Libertad?

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a few weeks here at Project Libertad and I wanted to give you a quick update on how to stay current with all our developments. The easiest is to subscribe to our RSS feed, which will update you on all new posts and articles. There are a few ways to do this, the easiest is simply entering your email into our subscription box; this will allow you to have our “feed” delivered right to your inbox. No new content, then no email! It’s through Feedburner, so there will be no spam or junk associated.
With the real push of Project Libertad just getting under way, look for a lot new content, articles, posts and videos from our April and May events. Thanks for joining to fight!
